Hcg Diet

Hcg Diet

HCG is a hormone produced during pregnancy. In the 1950s, one doctor noticed weight loss in patients using the hormone. He published his findings as the HCG weight loss plan.
There are no meals prepared there or workout machines in place, just homeopathic HCG drops and a scale. A simple approach, that so far seems to be working for hundreds of dieters.
Some other diets that has come popular shown in recent years include the South Beach Diet (choosing low-carbohydrate foods), the Atkins Diet (radically reducing carbohydrates), the baby food diet (replacing some meals with baby food) and the Master Cleanse (adopting a liquid diet comprised mainly of lemon or lime juice).
The HCG diet is full of lean protein, fresh vegetables and fresh fruits and is void of all processed foods.
Diet fads, crazes and schemes are nothing new. In the 1920s, overweight consumers were marketed "reducing soap," the ads for which promised to eliminate fat on any part of the body that was washed with this miracle soap. From the 1920s through the 1950s, some people would partake of the tapeworm diet, which didn't require much change in diet, other than consuming a tapeworm. The belief was that the tapeworm would helpfully join you in eating your meals, albeit from the comfort of its home in your intestines.
On the plan, participants eat large amounts of high-fat foods before going on a 500 calorie-a-day diet.If it seems hard to imagine what 500 calories a day looks like, it's coffee or tea for breakfast, then over the course of the day, two pieces of fruit, two vegetables and two four ounce servings of meat.
Crazy don't you think!
